Summer is finally here, with temperature expected to soar over the next week, which makes it the perfect time to cool down with a refreshing ice-cream. For an icy treat that also has a bit of crunch, check out our favourite nutty flavours.

Nutty Beer Ice-cream
If you’re after a unique ice-cream flavour, this is certainly it. Betty Crocker’s nutty beer ice-cream recipe has the perfect sweet-salty combination that appeals to salted caramel and bacon and syrup fans.
To make it, stir whipping cream, beer, brown sugar, and vanilla together and freeze for 25 minutes. Then stir in beer nuts – sweet and salty peanuts to you and I – and freeze again for at least four hours.

Coco-nutty ice-cream
There is nothing more refreshing than coconut when it is hot outside. If you want to conjure up tropical beach vibes this summer, have a go at making coco-nutty ice-cream.
The House of Elynryn’s recipe calls for whipping cream, whole milk, vanilla and coconut extracts, salt, sugar, cream of coconut, shredded sweetened coconut, and chopped toasted nuts.

Rose and pistachio ice-cream
Pistachio ice-cream is always a hit, with the bright green pudding reminding people of dry Mediterranean climates and balmy evenings walking along the waterfront. For an extra Middle Eastern twist to complement the delicious nuts, try this rose and pistachio ice-cream recipe using raw pistachios, milk, double cream, sea salt, rose syrup and egg yolks.
When serving, pour a little extra rose syrup on top and sprinkle with crushed pistachio nuts.
